SCRIPTEASERS was formed on May
5, 1948 to provide San Diego playwrights with the opportunity
to hear their scripts read by experienced actors. Over the past
60 years, Scripteasers has read and critiqued more than 1,200
scripts...
- San Diego writers have gone
on to have their plays produced and to win local, national and
international playwriting competitions
- Scripteasers scripts have been
produced for television and films, and by regional theaters such
as San Diego's Old Globe Theatre
- Scripts have been published
in best play anthologies and included in catalogues
- Actors in Scripteasers play
readings have appeared in local, regional and national theaters,
on television and in film, and have been recipients of local
acting awards
