"Survival of the Fittest"
Ben and Jordan are the last remaining high school students to attend their distance learning P.E. class during the pandemic of 2020. When the coach they are attached to suddenly departs, they must learn to fend for themselves in the survival of the fittest.
During the 2020 pandemic, Jane finally decides to confront her constant companion—Grief.
A ravenous feline explains the male/female relationship dynamic to her obedient human.
About the Author...
Thelma Virata de Castro is a San Diego Dramatists Guild Co-Ambassador, Teaching Artist for Playwrights Project, and Founder of San Diego Playwrights. Her plays have been performed by Asian Story Theater, New Village Arts, OnStage Playhouse, Circle dot dot, Logan Squared Productions, and others. She’s won The San Diego Foundation’s Creative Catalyst Fellowship and worked on several California Humanities projects. In 2020 and 2021, her work was included in The Old Globe’s Celebrating Community Voices evenings of the Powers New Voices Festival. She is a Hedgebrook alumna and attended the A Room of Her Own Foundation Retreat. Her plays have been read by The Scripteasers several times and have won Honorable Mentions in their annual contest.
